JessicaLynnOriginal Fishing Card 3

Hi Friends:  It's time for my third project using the new Fishing At Phantom Lake Wisconsin Happy Father's Day Fish stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps.  This set is available for pre-order until April 22nd at a discount of $2.65 off the regular price.

Today's project uses a few other stamps in the set - I just love the tackle box and the fishing lure, so I had to use them on this gate-fold card.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I used some cheesecloth to look like fish net and some actual fishing line to add texture to the panels. There's also some Crazing medium on the fish to mimic scales, and a bit of glossy accents on the lure.

Masculine Fishing Card

Here's the inside of the gatefold - just had to incorporate the same papers, wood sign, and fishing line:

This card was great fun to make, since I got to incorporate a bit of mixed media textures.  We would love to see what you do with this set, if you want to post them up on Jessica's Facebook page.

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this great masculine stamp set.
Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.  See below for instructions and supplies for this card.  Thanks for visiting - hope you have a great crafty day!

Instructions:
Stamp images onto smooth white cardstock using black ink, color with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut them. Add silver Glitter Brush Pen to buckles on tackle box, gold and clear Glitter Brush pens to lure hooks and bill.  Cover lure with Glossy Accents to make it look plastic.  Add Crazing Medium to fish and allow to crack; enhance the cracks with Gold Inka Gold, then add Glossy Accents to eye.  Stamp "Gone Fishing" sentiment onto wood paper with black ink, cut with label punch and ink edges.  Create A2 sized gatefold card from cardstock.  Cut patterned paper to fit the front panels and emboss with dots folder.  Enhance the dots with turquoise wax, ink edges, and glue to card front.  Glue cheesecloth to both front panels.  Cut triangles of patterned papers and wrap fishing line around them, then glue to card.  Use foam squares to attach the images to the left side of the gatefold. Use the same patterned papers to decorate the inside.  Cut a panel of cardstock, use ticket corner punch on the corners, ink edges, then wrap with fishing line and adhere to center panel.  Stamp "Troubles" sentiment onto wood paper and cut with largest label punch, then adhere to center of inside panel.

Jessica Lynn Original - Fishing Card 2

Hi Friends:  It's time for my next project using the new Fishing At Phantom Lake Wisconsin Happy Father's Day Fish stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps.  This amazing masculine stamp set is available for pre-order until April 22nd at a discount of $2.65 off the regular price.

Today's project uses alcohol inks and transparencies, but in a slightly different way than my card from yesterday.  I thought that the green alcohol inks with the gold mixative would be a great way to color the focal point fish on this card:

Fishing on Phantom Lake

In case you missed it yesterday, here's a picture of the full stamp set - these are really great stamps for a masculine card!  We would love to see what you do with this set, if you want to post them up on Jessica's Facebook page.

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this fun stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.
See below for instructions and supplies for this card - it's pretty CAS for me, but I loved using the Alcohol Inks.  Thanks for visiting - hope you have a great crafty day!

Instructions:
Stamp fish randomly with black ink  on A2 size piece of green water spot paper to create the fish background paper. Stitch around the edges of the paper with sewing machine and ink edges.  For a bit of texture, use the Glitter Brush clear pen to add some shimmer to all of the fins - hard to see in the photo, because the transparencies kept trying to shine too much.  On a piece of acetate / transparency, stamp the large perch image with StazOn ink and fussy cut it.  On the opposite side of the acetate, use Alcohol Ink applicator and green and gold inks to color the fish - just pounce the applicator around the acetate to create this fun effect.  Stamp the sentiment onto an acetate / transparency strip with StazOn ink, then use the same Alcohol Inks to color the strip.  Staple the strip to the stamped card background.  Thread a fish hook with fishing line and dangle down the left edge of the card front, then adhere the card front to the card base.  Finish by adding the acetate fish to the card front using clear foam adhesive.

Jessica Lynn Original Fishing On Phantom Lake Thanks Card

Hi Friends:  It's time for the launch of a new stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps.  This is a terrific set of stamps called Fishing At Phantom Lake Wisconsin Happy Father's Day Fish, and it has the perfect images for all the men in your life that love to go fishing.  I think it's a perfect masculine stamp set for birthdays, Father's Day, and any day that you want to show your love to your men-folk. This stamp set is available at pre-launch pricing until April 22nd at a discount of $2.65 off the regular price.

Here's my first card using these great fish images.  When I saw the set, I knew I wanted to try some techniques with Alcohol Inks and clear transparencies to create that great watery effect in the background:

Fishing on Phantom Lake

Here's a picture of the full stamp set - don't you just love all these great masculine images?  We would love to see what you do with this set, if you want to post them up on Jessica's Facebook page.

See below for instructions and supplies for my card.  Hope you have a great crafty day!

Instructions:
Stamp fish randomly on A2 size piece of acetate/transparency using StazOn ink to create a full background of swimming fish.  On the opposite side of the acetate, use Alcohol Ink applicator and blue and silver inks to create the watery background behind the fish - just pounce the applicator around the acetate to create this gorgeous effect.  Sew the background to an A2 card base.  To create the sentiment badge, cover a piece of scrap cardstock with aluminum tape and use the banner and small stitched circle die to cut the pieces out.  Use the piercing template to add stitched edges to the banner and cut it in half.  Stamp the sentiment onto the circle with StazOn ink.  Add the banner pieces to the circle to create the badge, then add to the card front with foam squares.

Stinkin' Inkers Challenges - Floral Shaker Card

Hi Friends:  There is a new challenge today over at the Stinkin' Inkers Challenges Blog, where the current theme is Showers of Flowers.

When I first heard this theme, it screamed shaker card to me, so my creation for this week is a shower shaker card.  For me, it's really CAS - I decided to let the shaker take the stage!

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the Stinkin' Inkers Challenges Blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter this fun challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Inky day!

Directions:
Create shaker focal image:
Stamp girl with umbrella image onto white cardstock with black ink.  Randomly stamp floral fall image onto background using Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks (to match the patterned papers.)  Cut focal image into rectangle and cut piece of clear transparency to cover.  Create frame from the patterned paper, ink edges, and glue transparency to the frame.  Add foam tape to frame, then add tiny flower sequins to the frame/transparency.  Add stamped panel to create the shaker.
Assemble card:  Cut patterned paper to fit A2 card base, ink edges, and glue to card front.  Add doily to center of card, then place shaker focal image over doily.  Add ribbon and bow below shaker.  Cut sentiment from black cardstock using die and glue to top of shaker.  Shake away to create the lovely shower of flowers!

CWWC - Happy Spring Bunny Card

Hi Friends:  There is a new challenge today over at the Crafting When We Can Challenges Blog, where the current theme is Use an Animal as your focal point.

My creation for this week is a simple water-colored Bunny using my favorite shimmery, pearl watercolors.  It's very hard to capture the pretty colors and shimmer in a photo - either you don't see any of the glimmer or it shimmers so much that you can hardly see the stamped image - but it's really pretty in person.  Anyway, here it is:

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the CWWC blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter for your chance to win a great prize from our Design Team!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great CRAFTY day!

Instructions:
Stamp bunny image onto watercolor paper with Archival ink and color with pearlescent watercolors. Die cut the image using the stitched circle die. Cut next larger sized circle from watercolor paper and color with watercolors, then frame the focal image with it.  Add Glossy Accents to the bunny's eyes and nose.  Cut an A2 sized piece of watercolor paper, emboss with embossing folder, then ombre paint the background with the green and blue watercolors.  Ombre color another small piece of watercolor paper for the sentiment, stamp sentiment with Archival ink, then cut with ticket punch.   Ink all edges with Black Soot ink. Assemble the card, placing the focal image in the center with foam squares for dimension.  Finish with coordinating ribbon and bow.

Instructions:
Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Cut image with stitched rectangle die and back with craft foam for dimension.  Add some glimmer to the dress with the clear and silver glitter brush pens.  Add some pearl gems to border the focal image.  Using the Something Blue paper pack, cut papers to fit an A7 card base, ink edges, and add to card. For the border strips, emboss with embossing folder and use some Old Silver Inka Gold paste to enhance the texture, ink edges and add to card - the paste gives some lovely shimmer to the border - you can see it at the top of the photo - it can be so hard to capture the shine in a photo.  Cut the 4 corners of coordinating paper panel using the lace corner die and add to card.  Add strips of lace at top/bottom edges where the base layer and border strips meet, and in center of die cut panel.  Cut a square of glimmer paper using larger stitched rectangle die and add to card center, then add focal image to center.  Finish with heart gems colored with the Spectrum Noir markers, and a small ribbon bow.

Instructions:
Stamp focal image onto smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Add some glitter brush pen to the sweater and some Glossy Accents on the eyes and nose.  Die-cut image using stitched oval die.  Using the Gypsy papers, cut background paper to fit A2 card base, emboss with floral embossing folder, then enhance the raised portions with silver Inka Gold.  Ink edges and glue to card base. Cut 3 additional coordinating ovals from the card pack - use the next 2 larger stitched oval and the eyelet oval dies and ink edges.  Glue eyelet oval directly to card base.  Frame the focal image with the next 2 larger ovals, then add to card with foam squares.  Add pink adhesive gems to frame the focal image, and scatter a few on the card base.  Add a pearl gem to the center of the Yorkie's bow.  Stamp the "Dog Wags" sentiment onto coordinating paper and cut with label punch.  (I had to mask the "A dog" portion and stamp in separately to fit it into my chosen label.)  To finish, add ribbon to bottom of card, then glue label in the center.

Live Beautifully Layout

Hi Friends:  Here's a recent layout of a snapshot I took while we were in Tuscany a few years ago. We were on a wine tasting tour and this was our first stop - a beautiful little vineyard.  We had so much fun tasting the wines and enjoying a little snack.  You can see a hint of the vines in the background of the photo.  Enjoy the details, below.  And it's snowing right now, so think of warmer weather like what's in the photo!  Have a great day!

Instructions:
Prep background paper with clear gesso.   Once dry, use stencil and embossing paste to add texture to background, then color with LSG sprays. Cut paper flowers and shapes from Mariposa paper and arrange on background, then sew around the edges of the paper with sewing machine. Tuck lace behind sections of the paper flowers.  Prep chipboard with gesso, then heat emboss / color with Versamark and embossing powder.  Add rub-on letters to the photo.  Frame photo with matching patterned papers, ink edges, then layer with cardboard over a piece of cheesecloth.  Frame with leafy vine chipboard.  Add floral vine under photo and fill-in additional flowers colored with the same LSG sprays.  Color ribbon with Distress Stain and insert under flowers.  Add some wire swirls to the vine.  Cut bird from the Mariposa paper and add to left side of vine. Add metal butterfly to right side of vine.  Finish with chipboard title and splatters using the LSG sprays.

Step Card for Tiki Hawaiian Vacation Stamp Set from JessicaLynnOriginal

Hi Friends:  This week, the JessicaLynnOriginal DT is showcasing the release of the new Tiki Hawaiian Vacation stamp set from JessicaLynnOriginal stamps.  This stamp set is available with free shipping until official launch date on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

I thought it would be fun to do a set of projects with the same Hawaiian theme - all using the same papers and colors.  The projects could be used as cards or as decorations for a themed party.  This first project is a step card, but it could also be used as a party decoration:

Here's a close-up of the cute Brentwood Owls:

Visit all of my design teammates and see what else they've done with this fun stamp set.  Don't forget, if you decide to purchase any stamps or digis from the store, please remember to put my name in the instructions/comments section during checkout.

Thanks for joining us for the launch of this stamp set.  Hope your day is great and that you take some time to do what makes you happy!

Instructions:
Stamp the images onto smooth white cardstock with Memento black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Use the dotting technique on the owls to give them fur-like texture.  Fussy cut all of the images and edge with black marker.  Add glossy accents and ultra-fine glitter to the fire and hair flower - use just glossy accents on the beaks.  For the card base, use the Hearts Step-up Card die with green cardstock to cut the base - fold as directed to make the step-card. Ink the card edges. Use the included die to cut the card front panel from the patterned paper, ink edges, and glue to front.  Cut smaller panels of the patterned paper to fit the step panels, ink edges, and glue to steps.  To hide the hearts, use 3 of the smaller nested circle dies to cut circles from the green cardstock, ink edges, and glue over the hearts.  Add the Brentwood owl and Tiki images to the circles on the steps.  Fold the edges of the Life's a Beach banner, then add to the card front with foam dots.  Fussy cut the surf boards from the paper pack and add them under the banner with foam dots.  To finish, cut the Peace, Love, and Sunshine sentiment into a banner shape, fold edges and add under the surf boards with foam dots.
