Daydream Tag Featuring Creative Paperclay®

Hi Friends:  When using molds with your Creative Paperclay®, do you ever accidentally break pieces off the embellishment when removing it from the mold?  It happens to me more than I like, but I NEVER throw those pieces away.  Even if they're too intricate or broken to glue back together, the pieces can always be used in creative ways on your projects.

Here are some broken pieces from an IOD mould - it's a mess:

I used these pieces to create a mixed media tag that shows one way to use them to create a beautiful project and no one would ever know that the pieces weren't meant to go that way.

Creative Paperclay® Daydream Tag

Here's a quick video tutorial showing how I created the tag and used the broken pieces of that IOD mould:

CWWC - Bright Birthday Card

Hi Friends:  There is a new challenge today over at the Crafting When We Can Challenges Blog, where the current theme is Bright and Colorful.

Please visit our fabulous sponsor this week, Oddball Art Co., to see all of their wonderful products!

My creation for this week is an easel card using the really cute image called Sally and Charlie.  I just love this adorable fairy!  And the easel die makes it so easy to create this style of card.

Here's the outside of the card - I thought it would be fun to have her looking up at this cute butterfly.

Here's the card with the easel open - I kept it pretty simple on the inside:

I hope that you are inspired by my creation and will join us over at the CWWC blog to see the creations of the other design team members and enter for your chance to win a great prize from our sponsor.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great CRAFTY day!

Instructions:
Print image onto smooth white cardstock and color with Spectrum Noir markers.  Die-cut image with large shaped die from Playful set, ink edges, then apply Glitter Brush pen to wings and headband. For a bit more shine and dimension, add a bit of Glossy Accents to the circles on her wings and a small gem to her necklace.  Cut card base from Marina Mist cardstock using the Stand-up framelit die.  Cut coordinating card panels and border strip from the Kaleidoscope papers, and assemble card.  Add focal image to card with foam dots.  Color mini roses with blue LSG sprays and add to card as shown.  Color white ribbon with the green markers and add under roses.  Color butterfly with blue and green markers and add to card.  Finish card front with some Pearl Pen dots.  Add rectangle panel of the Kaleidoscope papers to inside of card, then add border towards the bottom of the easel portion. Stamp frame and sentiment stamp in brown ink onto the green patterned paper, cut with matching die, and add to inside panel.  Finish with some green gems as shown.

Instructions:
Stamp image onto smooth white cardstock with black ink and color with Spectrum Noir markers, then add Glossy Accents to nose and eyes.  Once dry, cut image with stitched rectangle die and ink edges. Cut the next larger size label from the MME paper pad, ink edges, and layer under the focal image. Using coordinating papers, cut panel to fit A2 card base and cut a label edge using the Labels framelit.  Stamp sentiment onto the same patterned paper used for the image frame panel with black ink, then cut with labels (ticket) punch.  Stamp diamond label stamp onto pink shimmer paper with Versamark ink, heat emboss with clear gloss embossing powder, then cut with Fancy 4 Labels die. Layer sentiment oval onto diamond label and attach as shown.  Add image with foam squares and finish with a strip of gems along the silver strip. Add baker's twine to the bottom of the focal panel, then use foam squares to add the sentiment label.  Wrap a strand of baker's twine around the top of the background panel and it to the card base.  Use foam squares to add the focal panel, then add the label edge to the right side and enhance with button threaded with the baker's twine.  Use the Banners die to cut 6 banners from coordinating papers, stamp with the paw print, then use foam squares to add them to the banner twine at the top.
